Born in 1964, I was 16 in 1980 and witnessed Suprr 8, VHS, Beta, with VHS settling in for a decade, then DVDs taking root into the 21st century. Stopping at a video store on the way home from work was a regular occurrence. Having to go somewhere, pick from a limited selection, take it home, and watch it, made it special because you had to invest. We’re at the opposite end of the spectrum now, with no effort. Individuals are absorbed through their connections. This was a really good film.
